Rev. Douglas Balzer is the Pastor & President of the Spiritualist Church of Light & Hope.  Rev. Balzer was Ordained as a Spiritualist Minister by the Indiana Association of Spiritualists, after seven years of Spiritualist study and looks forward to many years of service to the Spiritual community.  He is also the proud father of his 16 year old daughter who has a gifted voice for singing.  Rev. Balzer states, "If you have never laughed and felt good leaving Church before, you will want to come to our Sunday Worship services.  Not only will you laugh and feel good when you leave, the smile on your face will cause sunshine to radiate to all of those you meet.....making their day full of the same......... Sunshine.  God's Blessings to you."

Brenda Rolfes

Brenda is a Cincinnati native with two wonderful boys, ages 24 & 18.  Brenda attended the University of Cincinnati and has been working for Proctor & Gamble for over 28 years in various executive management & team leader positions.  Brenda is a gifted Medium with the gift of Psychic Art, Automatic Writing &  Clairvoyance.

Joe is a “ray” of sunshine !  Joe holds a Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Education from the University of Cincinnati, is a veteran of the US Army 1960-1963 (Lived and traveled in Europe for two years) and taught for 4 years before going into business.  He retired from 17 years working for FedEx as a manager and retired in 2003. 

Joe has two websites that sell vitamins and natural cures and does a lot of research on natural healing processes.  Joe enjoys exercising (when he can find the time), reading (has an extensive library) and writing.  He has an unending curiosity about things, people, the English language and just plain old "stuff" that most people ignore.

Joe’s favorite saying is:  What does that mean???

Weaknesses:  Standing in the wrong line when God was giving out the virtue of patience.

I.E. Not being tolerant of people that think time is 'elastic.'

What he loves most:   The love of my life Lois and the rest of my family.  Getting up everyday to see the sun come up, a BIG belly laugh to start the day & his relationship with the other side.  We are blessed to have Joe as a representative of our Church and its members.

Nancy Rust

Congregation Representative

Nancy has lived and worked in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area most of her life.   Nancy is a constant student of human behavior holding both a Bachelor of Science degree in both Sociology and Criminal Justice from Thomas More College; as well as holding a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Beckfield College.  She currently is working in the Compliance and Licensing department for a local third-party healthcare administrator.

Nancy is inspired every day by her two grown children (a girl and a boy), and two small grandkids (a boy and a girl) from her daughter.   

Nancy is honored to be on the Board to represent the congregant’s of the Church, and has taken the position of Director of the Church’s different volunteer committees.
