Reflection

Blessings everyone.  Isn’t it amazing on how fast our summer flew by.  The hot weather has passed allowing the cool air to be our refreshing change of the season.  I love the autumn season, as it seems to bring back so many great memories of family and of course, reminds us of all the “together” times that are fast approaching with the onset of the holiday season waiving it’s starting flag.  Is there anything better than the smell of apple pie, apple cider or maybe a big piece of pumpkin pie? Yummmmmmmmmmm !

One other thing that strikes me during the fall time that I would like to share with you is the word “Reflection”.  Certainly with the recent outage of electric along with the damage to so many of our homes and the properties of our fellow neighbors, this would be a good time to do some “reflecting”.  I’ve always said that it takes “moments” in our lives that make us take a step back, prior to much reflection taking place.  Surely, after the past weather conditions, the tension of the up coming Presidential election, and the down fall of our largest financial engines, this makes it a great time to reflect on our lives, values, hopes, dreams and our need for changes.  Much like the summer season ending and the autumn season beginning, I see fall as a reminder of letting go of old things that serve us no more and allowing for new, better and more inspiring things to come forth.

I received this email the other day and felt blessed enough to have had yet one more thing sent to me that would help with my “reflecting”.  I hope you find it as inspiring and reflective as I did.  In the mean time, while enjoying the wonderful autumn season, take time to reflect and find the wonder filled energies that are always around for us to embrace and reflect upon.  And remember, such as the leaf that has dropped from the branch in preparation for a new leaf to arrive, this “reflects” your life as well.  All good and new things are assured to come.

Blessings and much peace,

Rev. Doug
